AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 15 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO ELECTION REPORTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE (Three-fifths of all members elected to each house thereof concurring therein):

Section 1. Amend Section 8032, Title 15 of the Delaware Code by adding a new paragraph at the end of said section to read as follows:

“Any contributor who is a law enforcement officer as defined by 11 Del. C. §222 or §2401, a probation and parole officer, or a federal or state judicial officer may request that the Commissioner remove his or her mailing address from any report to the Commissioner before the report is publicly disclosed. Any other person, upon application to the Board of Elections for the county in which he or she resides, may request that his or her mailing address be removed from any report to the Commissioner before the report is publicly disclosed. After considering the application, if the Board of Elections determines that good cause exists, it shall approve the removal of the person’s mailing address by the Commissioner before the report is publicly disclosed.”
