AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 91, TITLE 9, DELAWARE CODE, RELATING TO COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THE CHIEF DEPUTIES BY COUNTY OFFICES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend §9125 (b) of Chapter 91, Title 9, Delaware Code by striking said subsection in its entirety and substitute in lieu thereof a new subsection (b) to read as follows:
"(b) The compensation to be paid the chief deputy shall be set by the appointing officeholder. However, the compensation shall not exceed the salary set by statute for the officeholder, except that the salary for the Sheriff's chief deputy, per annum, shall not exceed,$15,000.00."
