SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :

Section 1. Amend § 107 of Title 13 of the Delaware Code by striking subsection “(a)” in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

“(a) Persons intending to be married within this State shall obtain a marriage license at least 24 hours prior to the time of the ceremony.”.

Section 2. Amend § 128, Title 13, Delaware Code by deleting “96 hours from the time of the issuance of the license when both parties are nonresidents of the State or prior to the expiration of” and “when 1 or both parties are residents of the State” as they appear therein.
