AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE DIVISION OF STATE SERVICE CENTERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :
Section 1. Amend §7919, Title 29, Delaware Code, by adding a new sub-section (j) to read as follows:
“(j) All employees of Family Visitation Centers operated by the Division, either directly or through a contractual agreement, shall be certified as to whether the individual is named in the Central Register as the perpetrator of a reported case of child abuse. Costs associated with obtaining said child abuse registry information shall be borne by the State. The Division shall develop a policy related to the conditions of employment related to Child Protection Registry checks.”
