SENATE BILL NO. 13

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO EXEMPTION OF MOTOR VEHICLES OWNED BY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATIONS FROM REGISTRATION FEES AND FROM REQUIREMENTS APPLICABLE TO MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE

:

Section 1. Amend Chapter 21, Title 21 of the Delaware Code by deleting from § 2159(a)(6), the word “and”, by deleting the period “.” from § 2159(a)(7), and substituting in lieu thereof a semi-colon “;”, and further by adding a new paragraph (8) to § 2159(a) to read as follows:

t “(8) All motor vehicles owned by a nonprofit educational foundation organized to promote instructional effectiveness and educational achievement.”

Section 2. Amend Chapter 21, Title 21 of the Delaware Code, by adding a new paragraph g. to § 6301(5), to read as follows:

“g. A nonprofit educational foundation organized to promote instructional effectiveness and educational achievement.”
