AN ACT AWARDING HEALTH CARE BENEFITS FOR SAMANTHA FULLER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :

WHEREAS, Frances Collender was a Delaware State Trooper killed in the line of duty; and

WHEREAS, Frances Collender has a daughter, Samantha Fuller who is currently twenty years of age and attending the University of Delaware; and

WHEREAS, due to the fact that Frances Collender was a Delaware State Trooper for only four (4) years, Samantha Fuller is not entitled to the State’s share of health care benefits under Delaware law.

NOW THEREFORE:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Notwithstanding any Delaware Code provision to the contrary, the State of Delaware shall pay the full cost of a basic individual contract of health care insurance coverage for Samantha Fuller as long as she is a primary survivor receiving a survivor’s pension under Title 11, § 8372(a) of the Delaware Code.
