SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

AN ACT TO STRIKE A DEED RESTRICTION ON LANDS CONVEYED TO THE HOCKESSIN FIRE COMPANY BY THE STATE OF DELAWARE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :

WHEREAS, on April 28, 1955, the State of Delaware, by the Honorable J. Caleb Boggs, Governor of Delaware conveyed to the Hockessin Fire Company by deed recorded May 10, 1955 in the Office of Recorder of Deeds, New Castle County, Deed Book R56, page 218 et seq, a parcel of land for the fire company's use; and

WHEREAS, by restriction if the Fire Company could not use the land that it would revert back to the State Department of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable for the Department of Transportation and the Fire Company to strike the reversion as no longer being necessary.

NOW THEREFORE:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. The reversion to the State of Delaware for the land conveyed by the State of Delaware by deed, Office of Recorder of Deeds, New Castle County, Deed Book R56, page 218 et seq., is hereby stricken.
