AS AMENDED BY SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 10 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO REFERENCES TO NON-MARITAL CHILDREN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE :

Section 1. Amend § 5117, Title 10 of the Delaware Code by striking all references to "bastardy" contained in the title and the body thereof and by inserting in lieu thereof "parentage".

Section 2. Amend §9702 and §9703, Title 10, Delaware Code by deleting "for bastardy" as it appears in each section and by inserting in lieu thereof each time "a parentage proceeding".

Section 3. Amend §9702 and §9703, Title 10, Delaware Code by deleting "bastardy case" as it appears in each section and by inserting in lieu thereof each time "parentage proceeding”.

Section 4. This bill shall take effect immediately upon enactment into law.
