AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION OF TRADE AND INDUSTRIAL TEACHERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend Section 1210 of Title 14 of the Delaware Code by adding the following new subsection (e), to read as follows:
"(e) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections (a) through (d), an initial license may be issued for a period of up to six years for applicants in a vocational Trade and Industry area to complete specified college level course work required for certification. Such applicants must achieve a passing score on an examination of general knowledge such as Praxis I prior to the expiration of initial licensure."
