AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 27, TITLE 21 DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR LICENSING SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS.

8E IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend §2709, Chapter 27, Title 21, Delaware Code by striking said section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

§2709. Out-of-State School Bus Drivers Qualifications

(a) Out-of-State school bus drivers shall meet the requirements of their home state for driving a school bus and supplemental Delaware DPI training as determined by DPI.

(a) Out-of-State school bus drivers shall provide a Delaware DPI Physical Examination Certification indicating a valid and approved Delaware State Board of Education physical exam completed within the last year.

(a) Out-of-State school bus drivers shall upon first employment provide to their Supervisor a current copy of their home State Driving Record. The driver's Supervisors shall maintain on file a current copy of their State Driving Record. These records will be annually reviewed using the same qualification criteria as found in Section 2708 of this Title."
