AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 21, TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE RE1SSUANCE OF LICENSE PLATES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend Section 2128, Title 21 of the Delaware Code by designating the existing paragraph "(a)" and by adding the following new paragraphs:

"(b) If a vehicle registration has been expired for one year or more, the registration number may be reissued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

(c) If a vehicle which was registered in Delaware is titled and registered in another jurbdiction, the Delaware title and registration is immediately cancelled and The registration number may immediately be reissued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

(a) If a registered vehicle has been junked, salvaged or destroyed to an extent that it will not be registered again for highway use and if the Delaware certificate of title has been surrendered to the Division, the registration number may be reissued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

(b) If a registration number has been removed from a vehicle pursuant to the provisions in paragraph (a) of this section, and if the registration has expired, the registration number may be reissued by the Division of Motor Vehicles."
