AN ACT TO AMEND SUBCHAPTER 1, CHAPTER 5, TITLE 13 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO DOMESTIC RELATIONS: AND PROVIDING FOR AN EXTENSION OF CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS UNTIL THE COMPLETION OF A CHILD'S EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend ยง501, Chapter 5, Title 13 of the Delaware Code by adding thereto a new subsection, designated as subsection (d), which new subsection shall read as follows:
"(d) Each parent shall have a duty to support their child, over eighteen years of age, if such child is still in high school with the likelihood that he will be graduated. Payments may stop, however, when the child receives his high school diploma. However, nothing herein shall extend parents' liability beyond age nineteen or completion of high school education, whichever occurs first."
