AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 44, TITLE 9, DELAWARE CODE, RELATING TO BUILDING PERMITS IN KENT COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Delaware:
Section 1. Amend §4401, Chapter 44, Title 9, Delaware Code, by striking the words "(1) 'Board' means Kent County Board of Assessment" as the same appear therein and substituting in lieu thereof the words "(1) 'Chief of Building Inspections' means the Chief of Building Inspections for Kent County as appointed by the Kent County Levy Court or his designee or the Acting Chief of Building Inspections for Kent County as appointed by the Kent County Levy Court or his designee".
Section 2. Amend §4403, Chapter 44, Title 9, Delaware Code, by striking the word "Board" wherever it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof the words "Board of Assessment of Kent County".
Section 3. Amend §4404, Chapter 44, Title 9, Delaware Code, by striking the words "Each or any member of the Board" as the same appear therein and inserting in lieu thereof the words "The Chief of Building Inspections or his designee".
Section 4. Amend Chapter 44, Title 9, Delaware Code, by striking the word "Board" wherever it appears therein (except in sections 4401, 4403 and 4404) and inserting in lieu thereof the words "Chief of Building Inspections".
Section 5. The provisions of this act shall not affect any building permits pending or issued prior to the effective date of this act.
