CHAPTER 282 - MOTOR VEHICLES ANNUAL OPERATORS' AND CHAUFFEURS' LICENSES
AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 165 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES BY PROVIDING LICENSE FEES FOR ANNUAL AND PERMANENT OPERATORS' OR CHAUFFEURS' LICENSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:
Section 1. That Chapter 165 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out Paragraph (c) of 5595 Section 57 of said Chapter, and by inserting in lieu thereof the following:
(c) Upon receipt of the application and a fee of One Dollar ($1.00) and after such examination as herein provided, the Motor Vehicle Commissioner of this State may issue, at his discretion, a motor vehicle operator's license or chauffeur's license which shall be known as an annual operator's or chauffeur's license and which shall expire on the May 31 next succeeding the date of its issuance.
Upon the receipt of the application and a fee of Five Dollars ($5.00) and upon proof that such applicant is a person twenty-one years of age and upward who has been licensed as an operator or chauffeur by the Department for a period of three consecutive years and that such applicant is qualified under the provisions of Section 51 of this Chapter, the Motor Vehicle Commissioner of this State may issue, at his discretion, a permanent operator's or chauffeur's license, which shall not expire or become ineffective until or unless otherwise revoked, cancelled or suspended as provided by law.
