CHAPTER 258 - NO FEE TO BE CHARGED FOR RECORDING CERTIFICATES OF DISCHARGE OF MEMBERS OF ARMED FORCES

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 50 OF THE REVISED CODE OF DELAWARE, 1935, RELATING TO RECORDERS BY PROVIDING THAT NO FEE SHALL BE CHARGED FOR RECORDING CERTIFICATES OF DISCHARGE OF MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met:

Section 1. That Chapter 50 of the Revised Code of Delaware, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out the last sentence of the first paragraph of 1546. Section 4 thereof, reading as follows:

"Provided, however, that the fee for recording any Certificate of Discharge as hereinbefore mentioned shall not exceed the sum of twenty-five cents.", and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Provided, however, that no fee shall be charged for recording any Certificate of Discharge as hereinbefore mentioned."
